Debz Chicken Pie

Ingredients:

Refrigerated pie crust
2 1/2 pounds cooked and deboned chicken
3 cups chicken broth
1 stick margarine
1 1/2 cups milk
5 teaspoons cornstarch

Directions:

Cook and debone chicken saving the broth it was cooked in.  Add 3 cups of the broth to a pot.  Add margarine and milk.  Bring to a boil.  Dissolve cornstarch in a little water and add to broth.  Stir constantly until the broth makes a gravy.

Add deboned chicked to a 9x13 inch pan.  Pour gravy over chicken.  Open crust and make a few slits for steam to escape.  Place on top of chicken and gravy mixture. Bake at 400 degrees F until brown on top.

Hi Deb. In the photo, it looks like there are diced onions in the mix, but there are none in the recipe. If you added some, how many did you use?

No sweets there is no onions in the pie. That must be the light reflecting off the gravy that looks like that. Thanks for commenting!
