Halloween Cookie Pops

Good Monday Morning! I thought today with Halloween being at the end of the month I'd go ahead and post something sweet.  These are sooo easy to make and not to mention cute also!  Kids will love to do this. Just let your creativity loose.  Do have a great day and make somebody smile!

Ingredients:

1 20 oz. package refrigerated sugar cookies
20 wooden sticks
white icing
various assortment of candy pieces for decorating

Instructions:

Freeze cookie dough for 1 hour or longer.  Heat oven to 350 degrees F.  Cut frozen dough into about twenty 1/2 inches slices.  Roll each into a ball.  Arrange in circle on ungreasded cookie sheets, 3 inches apart and 2 inches from edges.  Securely insert a wooden stick into each ball with end pointing toward center of cookie sheet.  Bake for 10 - 14 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet with spatula.  Cool completely.  Frost with white frosting.

To decorate as shown in picture:

Black cat

Slice a large black gumdrop into 3 round pieces.  Use small end for head; use largest piece for body.  Cut ears and tail from third piece. Arrange cut pieces on frosted cooked to form cat.

Jack O lanterns, owls, ghosts etc.

Use picture as guide and let your imagination loose!
